What Does End of Life Mean for Users Moving on from SharePoint 2010

Nothing in life lasts forever, everything will eventually come to a stop and the same goes for software. This is termed in the industry as EOL or End Of Life and it can be scary for those who are worried about the ramifications. EOL should not be a scary proposition for businesses as it means that you will have a new and better product to replace the old product.

In nearly all EOL cases, the reason for the end of a product’s run is due to the advancement of technology. Software that was originally built to run in 2009 will struggle mightily to run in 2019, even with the latest updates to the software. A good software migration program should be put into place to ensure a smooth transition from the old software to the new one.
