According to the State of Security 2024: The Race to Harness AI, 91% of respondents’ organizations use generative AI, but 65% stated they are unsure what it means.
Furthermore, 48 percent have faced cyber extortion, making it more prevalent than ransomware. Geopolitical factors are emerging prominently as well, with 86 percent reporting an increased risk of targeting. Compliance mandates are also tightening up the industry, with 76 percent citing personal liability concerns as a reason cybersecurity is no longer as alluring a field.
