OKRs Explained
watch video

OKRs or objectives and key results is the framework or management method that aims to define and track company objectives and their main results. In order to be effective and reach certain targets, companies set “objectives” frequently and then measure “key results” periodically for maximum achievement levels.
OKRs are a step above Peter Drucker’s Management by Objectives (MBOs), George Doran’s S.M.A.R.T. goals, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

According to BetterWorks, OKRs help companies:

— Impose disciplined thinking so major goals surface

— Inform everyone about what’s important

— Enable more accurate communication

— Establish indicators for measuring progress AND

— Focus effort and ensure alignment

While the idea of OKRs is a little old, BetterWorks has institutes 5 objectives for a modern platform: Connection, Support, Progress, Adaptation, and Aspiration.
