How to Mess Up Your AP Automation Project

Automation has made the collective lives easier in many company departments, including Accounts Payable. But, just because your AP office has automation, it doesn’t mean that the office is infallible. The other side of the coin that nobody likes to talk about is that technological advances can also induce laziness amongst the office crew. The consensus is that “it’s automation, I don’t have to do anything” which is blatantly not true.

Employees need to constantly monitor the goings-on of the processes which include workflow loads, invoice processing, legal compliance, and other components that are dealt with on a day-to-day basis. Don’t just sit back and let the software do everything, constantly monitor and make adjustments as necessary to stay on top of it all.
