When SD-WAN isn’t used, it causes the increase in cloud usage and hybrid deployments which may cause clogging of traditional networks. SD-WAN doesn’t require the addition of multiple more devices such as routers, WAN path controllers and firewalls. It also provides a wider bandwidth to the organization which is the intention of most organizations when they switch to SD-WAN.
The SD-WAN has multiple advantages over traditional WAN systems like a decrease of workload on the system thus causing lesser clogging, reducing the complexity of the system by optimization, Faster transformation and higher amount of security for the data within the network. The advantages are further discussed in detail in the white paper.
