DoS (Denial of Service) attacks have increased with more frequency and damage in the last decade. Securing against these attacks should be the highest priority of any reputable IT department. The worrying fact that exists is that a majority of companies are testing less than 50% of the time for vulnerabilities against their web applications.
The tide seems to be changing for the worse as attacks and revenue loss have increased over the last two years. Being hyper-vigilant in your security protocols and protection is a must as these attacks are not going away anytime soon. Test frequently and often to ensure that your defenses are always at the ready in case of a possible DoS attack in the future.
